63 Polara Max Hemi for Discovery Channels "American Hot Rod"
The Coddington Foundation and the Make-A-Wish Foundation joined together to make Max Cohen's wish come true. Max's wish was to choose, design and help build a car with Boyd Coddington. His choice was a 1963 Dodge Polara. The car was found and once at the shop the body was restored to it's former glory, black paint was applied to perfection and the Polara made its way Gabe Lopez where the red leather interior was stitched up. With the car being named the Max Hemi, engine choice was obvious, a 472 cubic inch Hemi backed by a torqueflite transmission. Now completed, the Polara was shown at car shows and the 2005 SEMA show before it went up for auction at Barrett-Jackson in January. Net proceeds from the sale will be donated to Make-A-Wish. Magnum Force was invited on the set to help out by providing and installing one of our complete Mopar tubular front suspension assembly's and rear coilover and Ladder Bar suspensions as seen on Discovery Channel's "American Hot Rod".
